BigBang is a tool for scientific analysis of open source and internet governance communities. It was created by DATACTIVE Research Associate Sebastian Benthall, and is currently being developed with help of Davide Beraldo and Niels ten Oever.

ALEX
ALEX, Algorithm Exposed, is a tool for scientific analysis of the social network personalization algorithm. It currently only supports Facebook, and we plan to extend the support of other centralized services. The two effects ALEX are either for researchers in the social network dynamics and for the users, which can get insights on their information exposure.
The project was first initiated by Claudio Agosti, fbtrex Lead Developer. As DATACTIVE Research Associate, Claudio is looking to make fbtrex scale in different uses cases, with an international team of developers and users and the collaboration of Davide Beraldo Stefania Milan (DATACTIVE) to investigate research uses.
